Custom Bench/ Shoe Cubby/ Shelf

My parents had a cubby just inside their garage door. They asked me to build them a bench with chubby holes for shoes and shelves on the top. 

The wood cut and stained. 

This is the finished bench.There is space on either side because of the vent, but it also gives room for taller shoes or boots.

Next is the hutch (it is upside down and this is the backside). It has shoe cubbies going up the sides. It has two shelves on the top. Lastly there are nine courtesy hooks on the front. 

Here is the finished project. We only scraped the wall a little bit getting it in there.
